An artistic beauty, Jeri, and her golf pro husband, Monte, were married at the Rancho Bernardo Inn on Friday. Here they are taking a quick look around before welcoming their guests into the Santiago Courtyard for dinner.

We will post the official wedding photos when we get them, but for now, let’s focus on some of the details: buttons and jars. Jeri put out a request to her family to send her buttons — any and all buttons. She sorted through them and put them in various sized jars to use as accent decor; we placed them on their long feasting tables among the loose arrangements of flowers in mason jars by Angel’s Floral Creations. Here are some shots I took just before guests were seated for dinner:

I spent quite a lot of time on eBay searching for the Perfect Ball mason jars Jeri had her eye on. We were able to bid on and win 19 of the genuine antique jars. Very exciting! Here’s a shot of one of them:

We hoped Jeri would incorporate her artwork in her and Monte’s wedding. She created the place cards out of wood and sculpted the significant word “yes” on each one. (We will ask her to describe the meaning behind “yes” in a later post. It’s lovely.) We strung the place cards from the shrubs within the reception site. Have a look:

Jeri asked for an idea to add color to the tables so we suggested she incorporate strips of fabric to infuse the mismatched French-inspired look she was after. She sewed muslin and a variety of patterned fabrics as napkin wraps.

She also made the table numbers. Each has a Parisian monument or landmark on it. We made wood and clothespin holders for the table numbers, buffet signs, and bride and groom place cards accented with buttons.

Here is a peek into the reception site through the trees. Once the sun went down it was so magical with all of the candles and lights in the trees.

We will be sure to share more of Jeri and Monte’s wedding when the official images are available.
