Etsy has always been my favorite source for unique, handmade goodies but now that they have an actual wedding section, I am more in love than ever. There are so many talented designers creating original items for all of us to find. Etsy has offered my couples the ability to source original pieces that speak to them and share their story with all of their friends and family.
As you know, there is no possible way one could feature ALL favorite Etsy Shops in one post. That would be nearly impossible! So, today I am sticking with three. Check them out below.
The classic charm and modern style of Belle and the Beau captured my interest with their bold patterns in their Beau accessories! There is also a fantastically romantic and whimsical Belle section of their shop which offers “shoe pretties,” and other adorable accouterments for the ladies.
Sometimes a name says it all and that is certainly true in this case! A Southern Bucket has taken their passion for burlap and metal to create customized and functional buckets and vases. They will not only be a conversation piece at the wedding but they will also find a permanent place in your home.
Let be be the first to tell you if you already didn’t know… Once you get married, the line between mine and yours becomes very thin. The least we can do is identify our own silverware! Beach House Living creates these charming silverware and cake cutting sets that will not only compliment your day but will also eliminate any confusion when setting the table in the years to come!
Do you LOVE Etsy too? We would love to hear from you. Please let us know what your favorite shops are…
We had the great honor of co-hosting the Association of Bridal Consultant’s (ABC) Favorite Things Event on Wednesday evening at the one and only Prado in Balboa Park! I am working through sharing the featured apps, ideas, locations and products that I am most excited about. There were so many to select from. What’s a girl to do?
I was introduced to a company called, Ivory Sparrow which is right here in our backyard of San Diego. They customize the most decadent and heavenly wraps and robes for the pampering that comes before the merry occasions. I had the opportunity to introduce them and actually feel the softness of their fabrics and I am telling you ladies, it is amazing! Not only that but the packaging and presentation makes the perfect gift for your bridesmaids, moms, flower girls and even your groom. While you are at it, let’s not forget your wedding planner! Did I mention that they can be personalized?
They also offer Swarovski embellished flip flops packaged in a satin bag as well as two different options for a coordinating cotton totes. Wrap it all together and you have a gift that anyone would swoon over! Not to mention, how picture perfect would it be to have all of your ladies coordinated in style for any prep shots taken before you get into your gown.
I found that one of my savvy and stylish brides gifted these lovely wraps for her bridal party at her wedding. The one and only Miss Jessica is pictured with her girls below. Check out the full post on the Ivory Sparrow Blog!
Erica and Creed are both anesthesiologists with a passion for the coast and a love for the great outdoors. When they aren’t in their scrubs (which is rare), they are immersed in some sort of activity or excursion. When it came to their wedding, there was no doubt that they would select a location with an ocean view and they did just that. It took one visit to La Valencia and they were decided.
I am excited to share the beautiful images of their day. Thank you Jennifer Dery Photography!
Adorations Botanical Artistry worked with Erica and Creed to design the overall floral decor that worked in the yummy elements of succulents, driftwood, dahlias and roses. There were many other intricate elements worked into every piece they designed. LaVonne and her team truly captured the essence of the couple from the bouquets to the ceremony and the reception.
The ceremony aisle was lined with driftwood, blooms and stones leading up to an ornate botanical structure framing the couple. Creed’s brother had his guitar on hand for a special song performed by a close friend. It added such a great personal touch to the ceremony and even captured a few laughs!
Guests entered the ballroom to find their succulent escort card that also functioned as the guest favor as well as the entree indicator. Table numbers were suspended from the table landscape and surrounded by candlelight. I actually planted my succulent and it is happy and healthy in my backyard.
Erica and Creed wanted to treat their guests not only with a wedding cake, but also mini cupcakes. Sweet Cheeks Baking Company provided all of the decadent desserts and Adorations designed the table. We had a caricature artist on hand sketching black and white images of guests. The reverse side of their caricature design functioned as the guest signing with personal questions about the bride and groom. At the end of the evening, the newlyweds left with sketches of each of their guests along with their stories, advice and predictions. It will be fun to read those five years from now!
Concepts Event Design created the custom seamless dance floor and Jerry Beck of Beck’s Entertainment kept everyone on it throughout the evening.
Thank you Erica and Creed for trusting LBE with your wedding day. It was such a pleasure working with you and your families!

Pamela and Mark selected San Diego as the destination city for their wedding weekend. It was important to these hard working attorneys from Houston, that their guests be treated to fun and relaxation in our finest city. On Friday, guests were invited to a rehearsal luncheon at The Prado in Balboa Park followed by a welcome dinner reception at Bondi in the Gaslamp Quarter. Come Saturday, it was time for the wedding!
Maryanne of McGuire Photography captured the first meeting with Pamela and Mark as they got a few special moments with one another before the ceremony.
Sharon Mintz and her team at Organic Elements provided the most fragrant bouquets of vibrant colors.
The Grand Ballroom at The Prado in Balboa Park was the spectacular setting for their dinner reception. Marcy and her team at The Prado were spot on with service and hospitality!
Pamela and Mark are movie buffs from way back and decided to name each of their tables after a symbolic movie in their lives. On the back of each card, they wrote why they selected it and included their favorite quote. This was such a personal touch and they were written so well that guests actually went from table to table to read them (myself included).
Pamela wore a Carolina Herrera gown adorned with dots. It was perfectly suited for her personality. The ladies wore a perfect shade of blue to compliment the gentlemen’s attire.
Merrylin with Artistic Productions kept the party going all evening long. This group loved to dance and engaged in the hora as often as possible.
Congratulation Pamela and Mark. It was such a delight working with you!
Cheers to a lifetime of love and happiness.
Mollie and Ryan came to us in January and we have had the pleasure of spending the past 7 months planning their wedding day. With such vibrant personalities, these 2 were just so much fun to work with. They allowed us to generate all sorts of creative ideas to make their day personal to them, their family and friends.
Both the bride and groom are from Oregon and it seemed that The Lodge at Torrey Pines would be the perfect setting to bring together their home state green with their beloved California coast. They truly could not have selected a better setting! As always, the staff at The Lodge showcased impeccable service and delectable food. Lovely.
Our goal was to incorporate Mollie’s love of bright citrus and melon colors with Ryan’s love of NAVY blue. Dawn Stone of Embellishmint Floral Design Studio worked her magic to create the vibrant and lush florals that graced the wedding party, the tables and the ceremony site. Dawn and her team always go above and beyond and this wedding was no exception.
Our job is to create the wedding but it is equally important to capture it. That job was left to the amazing talents of Justin Lee Photography. Justin and his crew arrived early and remained on site until they caught every last details. He spent the time before the wedding to really get to know Ryan and Mollie and is shows through his images. Excellent!
Set among moss, these engraved rocks functioned as place cards as well as a unique keepsake for the bride and groom. Guests were asked to make a wish on the rock and place it in a jar. Mollie and Ryan now have them on display at their home as a reminder of all of the special people who shared their day with them.
Thank you to all of the people who made this day so spectacular for Mollie and Ryan and thank you yo Mollie and Ryan for allowing us to share it with you. Congratulations and Best Wishes…
